Scoop’d is an immersive augmented reality-based game that keeps the child engaged while developing their motor and cognitive skills. This game has been used to facilitate physiotherapy for children with motor difficulties.
The game focuses on visuo-spatial skills, bilateral coordination, hand-eye coordination, attention span, and gross motor movement of the child. It tracks motor coordination, performance, upper and lower limbic movement, accuracy, reaction and response time through its in-built reporting feature. This makes it easier for the facilitator to measure progress of the child.
In this game, the player has to catch scoops of ice-cream falling from the top of the screen. Each level consists of a time limit of 90 seconds and the difficulty level increases in terms of speed, direction at which the scoops fall and the span of movement.
